Dear PoopReport,
I am on Day 5 of The Master Cleanse. For the last three days I have been seeing golden yellow bean-shaped masses in my poop. They are slightly pointed on the ends. I have done research on Google and it seems that they are "casein curds." (Casein is "the predominant phosphoprotein that accounts for nearly 80% of proteins in cow milk and cheese.") But, I can only find reference to this in regard to infants. (You can read about casein and baby poop in this 100-year-old article.) Does this also occur in adults?
I'll admit I fished one out with a plastic spoon and put it on a paper plate to show my husband. I smashed it with the back of the spoon and the inside is white and looks like FAT. They have varied in size from larger than a jumbo olive to the size of a navy bean. They are perfectly formed. Weird.
Could these have been in my small intestines since childhood? We drank "raw" milk for years. I have seen five total over the last three days.
I would appreciate any insight that you might have as to what these are. Thanks so much!
