...the one when Chandler and Ross stay at a B&B in Vermont (why they're staying there slips my mind at the moment), and while in a Maple-candy induced craze, Ross begins to steal apples from the lobby? Chandler gets in on the action too, amassing a nice supply of shampoo, soap and batteries (courtesy of the remote control). While it was a comical plot, once again, real life proves that truth is far stranger than fiction.
I'd love to know what some of these klepto-guests were thinking as they frantically flipped the adult channels on the Spectravision, getting their jollies in half-second shots, when they decided to steal, oh, I don't know, A TOILET SEAT? Maybe if they just bucked-up and paid the $3.95 for the entire movie, they wouldn't have to resort to petty (petite, for those Francophones among us) larceny/vandalism. It's bad enough that because of people like that, the remote controls in most chain hotels are now bolted down to the nightstand, which gives good people like me a vicious wrist cramp while attempting to flip through the Spectra...oh, nevermind. Pass me a Phillips-head screw driver...I see a coat hook with my name on it.
