Here we have the touching tale of an imigrant going above and beyond the call of duty to prove his allegiance with his new homeland.

This farmer iterated to a courtroom full of people that he in fact changed his name to "Tony" from his given name, "Toine" (he's Dutch) because [direct quote]: "That's one of the little things I do to please you guys"
His name changing rational thus presented, he then drank manure water.

The water was an attempted demonstration by those opposed to dear Tony's desire to open a dairy farm, proving that drinking water could indeed be contaminated even if the contamination is not visible.

Barbara Peeg (self professed dairy-opponent...I'm betting she's in favor of pork, though) dropped a drop of liquid manure into a jar of tap water, shook it up and demonstrated that contamination is not always apparent.

Tony, seeing the perfect oppertunity to prove most Americans stereotypes of foreigners true, then jumped from the audience at the hearing, and drank it.

Gotta hand it to those Dutch; Even though their heritage is not linked in any identifiable way with the name of their homeland, they sure know how to party.
