Well, almost. Two Eastern Michigan University frat boys almost went down on charges as trumped up as those against Tommy Chong; After swiping a toilet seat as part of a fraternity prank, the duo was charged with Larceny from a building, a crime on the books as a felony, punishable by up to a four year term in the Big House.

Fortunately, the prosecution said at the trial that the charge was ridiculous (the PROSECUTION said that...wow), and dismissed the charges all together. After all, the two students returned the seat, each paid a $30 fine, and submitted a letter of appology.

While the article goes into great depth explaining the mystery behind the trumped up charges, it failed to explain one fact that I find most alarming: the two were nabbed because of a security camera in the bathroom. Obviously the camera must be placed in such a way as to see in to or over the stall walls -- a blatant invasion of privacy. While I'm not entirely sure of the laws regarding the issue, it just seems that the ACLU should be involved with this.

I'd go as far as to say that the students should file a counter-suit against the school for allowing or instituting the camera policy in the first place. I'm a shameful shitter, and I'd HATE to know Big Brother was watching my every dook.
