A roll of
toilet paper the size of a car caught fire in the pulp yard of a factory on Sunday. More than 50 firefighters and 16 fire engines rushed to the blaze in Northumberland, England.
The fire took more than eight hours to put out, mainly because nearby rolls that were not ablaze absorbed a lot of the water intended for the roll flambé.
Before you get all excited about super sizing your bathroom with one of these Rolls Royces, keep in mind that the English tend to drive smaller cars than we Americans. But the thought that you could handle a major toilet overflow by just lowering your mega roll to the floor is a feature that US paper pushers should consider.
