An Albanian man they call the "doctor" is illiterate. His day job is to clean the
public toilet in Berat, Albania. In the summer, however, Kujtim Selami sells leeches for a living. In this poverty-stricken country, folks of all kinds knock on Kujtim's door to have leeches applied where their bodies ache, hoping that the worm-like creatures will suck out the "bad blood." Some local folks use the leeches to cure hemorrhoids, but the report doesn't indicate where they apply them. Talk about high-tech medicine!
