Out-of-Order Toilets Result in Compensation

Posted 10.22.2002 by Dakota
A German businessman has been awarded about $600 compensation for "unnecessary suffering" after he was unable to use the toilet on a train journey. Hans Mueller said that he ended the two-hour journey from Frankfurt to Dresden in extreme pain because he had been unable to relieve himself as all the toilets were out of order. The court in Frankfurt ordered the German railway company Deutsche Bahn to pay Mr. Mueller the money after the company admitted all the toilets on the modern train were out of order.
