I would assume that only mammals fart. But then again, maybee birds and fish have a way of relieving thier gas. They also eat and poop, so it is very possible that they fart as well, but just in a different way.

Birds can't handle gas. Give them something that creates gas, and they die, sometimes popping open with enough gas produced.
