That and we don't feel so bad about the embarrassing stuff that has happened to us when we see it happens to others as well. It reaffirms our common humanity. Besides that, its funny. Our inner little kid gets to yuk it up with potty humor. Possibly a form of nostalgia?

People are more and more coming out of their Victorianistic ways, and realizing that there is a humorous side to bodily functions, and that these functions are a necessary part of everyday life.
