It's not that Michelle Sobel loves talking about her colon. But she does it anyway. Often. With strangers. Sobel, 53, runs Royal Oak's Center for Natural Healing, one of the few spots inmetro Detroit where people can go to get their colons cleansed.
"People have no idea how healthy they can feel," said Sobel. If the owner of Plymouth Township's soon-to-open Hidden Falls Wellness Center has his way, Sobel won't be the only one around talking about her colon.
Like Sobel's center, the new place will offer colonics -- or colon hydrotherapy -- when it opens in July. Despite being available in a smattering of spots throughout Michigan -- including Royal Oakand Clawson -- it's a little-known procedure that involves
filling the colon with water or wheat grass juice and flushing out built-up waste.
