A top Philippine civil servant has apologised for urinating in the cabin of the president's jet.

Press undersecretary Heraclio "Rocky" Nazarano relieved himself near an emergency exit, reports the Philippine Star.

He said he was drunk and had thought he was in one of the toilets on President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's chartered jet.
