A Queen Shit (or King) statuette goes to the winner of this contest! Thanks, Turd Shack!
Almost a year ago, we ran a contest to find movies that can be changed into funny poop movie titles. You know, like "Lady and the Cramp," or "Assablanca."

It was a great contest (with over 400 entries), so why not repeat the theme? Only this time, we're using book titles. There are only two rules:

  1. You can enter book titles that need no change to be funny (like Steinbeck's "The Moon Is Down"), but those aren't eligible to win. I'll put them up if they're funny, though.
  2. If the book has been made into a movie, and that movie title entry already appeared on the movie contest, I'm going to reject it.

And as always, I reserve the right to reject entries that don't make any sense or just aren't funny.

AB2K, I think the rule we decided on was that if it was primarily known as a book, then it's ok. Andromeda strain, of mice and men, and to kill a mockingbird fit this rule. It, however, was a very popular movie, released not too long after the book.

I entered about 50 today, we'll see how many get used. I looked up "classics" on amazon to get 32,000 books listed, almost all repeats of about a hundred classics. If you need inspiration, go to amazon.com and type in "classics" or "literary collections." to find good lists.

The rule is that if the title appeared in the movie contest, it can't be in the book contest -- that doesn't mean that a new riff can't be done on a title that was used in the movie contest, it just means that an entry that was in the movie contest can't be used again in this contest.
