Lisa H. asks:
I have frequent soft stool and it causes a burning sensation in the rectum. Just now, I had white "stuff" mixed with fecal matter. I was wondering what the burning sensation was and the white "stuff" was? Thanks.
Dear Lisa,
Thanks for the question.
If this is a new situation for you, you really should be taking this up with your doctor.
The white stuff is probably just mucus, but do get things checked out. Keep track of what you are eating while you are waiting the eternity before your appt, too. Make sure you are getting plenty of fiber each day.
