When I was young, I lived up in the country, where we had a few chickens and
cats. But the family down the street had cows, sheep, cats, bunnies, etc. As a
young girl, I often walked over there to play with a girl my age and her older
brother.
One summer's day, we were playing dolls and her older brother came up to us
looking kind of worried.
"Where's Pepper?"
Pepper was this fat, mean old tom cat. We saw him asleep
under his favorite tree, and a large cow standing over him.
Just as we were about to call the kitty over, the bovine lifted her tail and
dropped a mother load... right on top of Pepper.
That was a tragic day on the farm. Pepper's neck had snapped due to the force
and amount of cow poop that fell from above. My friend was crushed (not as much
as Pepper), and her father had to dig the furry body out of the pile of manure in
order to bury it (again... I guess).
