A German company is printing novels on toilet paper rolls to "kill two birds with one stone." Georges Hemmerstoffer, [1] who came up with the idea, says the toilet is one place where people still read books. As well as German classic literature, Mr. Hemmerstoffer says they are planning to print more modern texts such as crime novels. They have already been inundated with orders. Because the rolls are not big enough to print an entire book on, each book will be printed in TP roll installments. "We will print one chapter on each roll and as you can get up to 12 rolls in a multipack then we will print a 12-chapter work," Mr. Hemmerstoffer said. The toilet paper will be sold in bookstores and gift stores and will be more expensive than average toilet paper.
