Marion County health officials identified the cause of an outbreak of bloody diarrhea among Hubbard City Park goers [2].

Officials say three lab-confirmed cases have been linked to the bacteria Shigella that was in the water of the large circular splash fountain in Hubbard Park. Eight other possible cases have been identified.

The fountain was shut down pending further investigation.
