News Flash- Not only are old people in nursing homes frequently required to poop while still in bed (a la bed pans), but now, in this particular Nursing Home [1], they aren't treated to the basic necessity of facility-provided toilet paper. While this move to cut costs has many of the family members of the residents up in arms, what those complainers are failing to realize is that there's a very good chance that Grandma or Grandad frequently forgets to wipe anyway! Looking at it from this standpoint, one can easily justify the Home's decision to eliminate the elimination tissue.
"HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?"
I can hear the e-mails now...
Wait, however; While the logic provided by the Retirement Home's spokesperson is shaky at best, at least he's opperating under the presumption that by cutting costs, the level of care can be maintained. Which would you rather have?
Nice, squishy 3-ply paper?
Or Medicine?
Yeah, me too...you ever try to wipe your butt with a couple of Tylenol?
