Seems we have a bit of a DaDaist revolution on our hands. A team of "artists" are conspiring to elevate the porcelain god into the realm of neo-pop culture.

One artist has decided to cover her toilet with horse-hair (I can't think of a more uncomfortable surface for bare flesh). Why? Her explanation, while not what one would call "perfectly formed" is somewhat coherent, and funny in a light-hearted, ethnocentric way: "I'm covering this toilet bowl with horse-hair so I'm trying to give life to this object. Toilet is what everybody sit on and we don't know who sit before and after but we're all putting our skin on it [1]."

That's all fine and good, but why horse-hair? There must be plenty of stray cats, their fur is more comfortable.

The real beauty in this project is that it's open to the public. If you have an artistic toilet, and we're not talking "spray painted" (wink wink), you can put it on display, as long as you can get it to Singapore by March 5th.
