Not any more! Thanks to some rootin' tootin' programmin', a select group of PoopReporters now has the ability to acknowledge comments that are awesome and coments that are awful. Comments that are awesome will be rewarded with visual recognition and bonus points for the author; comments that are awful will be marked as such, and the author will lose points for the three seconds of our lives he or she wasted.
A good comment is loosely defined as one that contributes something exceptionally funny, interesting, or insightful to the discourse; a bad comment is a flame, or something off topic, or something contributing absolutely nothing to the discourse. These definitions will probably evolve over time.
To keep things fair and bowelanced, each moderator's vote is worth 1/2 a user point. Which means two moderators need to agree that a comment is great or awful in order for it to be computed as such. Also, moderators can't vote for their own comments.
