I know this is a departure from the usual polls, but I thought it would be interesting to see how many people are true PR junkies. I was going to tell Poop Shooter to put this on the forums, but it will have a wider audience here.

For the record, I voted for the fourth option.

This site is great! Even though my life is depressing, miserable sack of shit (pun intended!)–I can log onto poopreport and get many good laughs in. My worries vaporize as I read these funny stories!

I voted for over 4 hours, because I often leave the page opened up and go about my business with chores, child care etc, etc, checking back every once in a while. I do that with a lot of my favorite pages. I'm a net junkie.

I voted on 1-2 hours.
Sometimes it's more, but that's the average.
If the poll was "How much time in a day do you spend on PR-affiliated tasks?" I'd have to say sometimes up to 5-6 hours.

With emails and Bunga's non-stop chat sessions, I'd probably do that kind of stuff all day if I were single and living in my mommy's basement.

You mean it is possible to spend LESS than 4 hours a day here? To quote from my own site bio, "PR is healthier than drinking, safer than sex, more fun than exercise, and less complicated than dating. It is also cheaper than psychotherapy, and a GREAT way to kill time at work!"

I do try to take a day or two off from the site every now and then, however, when I sense a buildup of Dumpster fatigue.

I thought up the poll mainly beacuse I wanted to see if there was something psychologically wrong with me. I wanted to know if others like myself spent more than an hour or so a day reading poop stories and related poorific trivia.

When I see over 100 replies or votes on a poll, I think it has to be people other than the 10 or so regulars answering. I'm sure there are hundreds of non registeres shamless poopers that spend eternity on the site lurking in the shadows. Right now at 8:30 in the morning, I'm the only registered user online along with 167 guests!!

The "guests" number always astonishes me, but then I realize how great this site is as a whole!

Poop Shooter!

This site is like family. You don't have to see them every day, but an occasional visit confirms the people are good folks.

I picked 1-2 hours.

I usually look at PR when I first log on at work and surf the Internet. I will look at the daily archieved stories.
Then around noon I read the new front page story.

I will then again go on PR in the afternoon or evening to see if there are any interesting comments on the front page story.
I sometimes use the search engine on the forums to see if anyone is talking about me; even after being banned from the forums 1 1/2 years ago I still remain a popular topic.

Doniker, you are like Agamemnon, Oedipus, or one of the other great tragic figures of history: Your very flaws are what make you great, so if you lost the flaws which cost you your place on this site, would you still be the same doniker? It other words, is your choice between being great, yet flawed, or being flawless, get not great?

I don't know all of your history here--maybe there is a middle ground for you and maybe not. Yet, to my mind, at least, you do remain one of the great heros of PR, even if a tragic one.

Up to an hour a day is about right for me, but it's not all at once. I'll check in throughout the day and spend ten to fifteen minutes each time. There may be a day or two that I spend more time than that, but, again, it's usually spaced throughout the day. (And sometimes night--I have been known to get up in the middle of the night to pee and check the website before returning to bed.)

P.S. All bets are off if I should make contact with one or more of my friends in the Chat Room. We have been known to spend at least an hour in there alone.

I need to spend less time on here too. I think it will happen as the weather gets warmer and I go outside and stuff. I never spent as much time on PR as this winter.

I would spend well over four hours a day whilst being unemployed, but now I have my work permit and am job searching, my contact time has gone down considerably.

I've been a PoopDeserter for a few days as a result of my stepson's having a staph infection.

About 26 hours a day. Just last week someone said to get a life - this IS my life. A brown stinky life, but a life no less.

I spent between 30 to 60 minutes a day on PR. Most of the time it's late night PR-ing since I work second shift and don't get home til after 11. I try to steal a moment in the mornings (like right now), but it often gets broken up by my son's daily constitutional (or my own!).

I'm a brand new member with lots of stuff to report, so I've spent a whole lot of time the past several days. Hopefully, from now on I can taper that off quite a bit. I would still like to log on (no pun intended) every few days to read any short and to the point comments by others. Also, I'd like to report in on my most recent poop session if we get an appropriate poll for that. If not, I may report in on the one that says "what letter did your last poop look like." Hope that's O.K. with everyone.

well, during my first year and half here at PR, my answer would have been at least 2-4 hours, maybe more. but that was when i had a job where i had little work to do on a daily basis. i don't go online much at home, because i'm on the computer all damned day. then i was on sabbatical from PR due to my unemployment, lack of home computer, and then reemployment and testing of waters at the new job before deciding it was safe to do pretty much whatever i want. now i have a job where i can still slack off and stuff, but not nearly as much. sometimes i get super busy and can only check in with the forums and don't even make it out here to the front page. this week i'm finding more time for the front page. it's hard not to when so much is going on!

i probably spend at least about 20 minutes here. more if i have the time, or just really want to avoid my work.

my morning routine when i first arrive at work goes like this:
1. turn on computer
2. open my programs for the day in the following order (because that's how i like them on my taskbar):
Thunderbird (email)
Firefox
instant messaging program
Yahoo music jukebox
Dreamweaver
Windows Explorer
(other programs are opened throughout the day as needed)

then i check my personal email, then i check myspace, then i check my roller derby league forum, then i check PoopReport, then i start working. this all takes about an hour. maybe more if i have a lot of email or whatever to read. it also depends on what's going on here. some days there's a lot more to read than others. on days i post a poll or Motherload story it also adds to the amount of time i spend here.

so, to sum up: it varies.

I spend much more time on PR than I used to now that I activate forum accounts and stuffs. Usually, it's late at night that the real work gets done, but I do check things out while watching that Judge Judy. God she's grumpy.
