In Texas, a case of jurispoodence

News from the Dallas NBC affiliate indicates that a turd terrorist is on the prowl -- and is leaving his mark on a not-too-highly-regarded judge [1].

In the late afternoon hours on Tuesday, someone decided that Judge Laurie Blake's door was just a bit short of colostomy bags and was missing a handy urine supply, so they decided to step up to the plate and deliver. The bailiff was the first to notice the problem. He notified the police, who were quick to respond, taking photos and getting the janitorial service to clean it up. While involved in this clean-up, they also became aware of a second incident also directed at the Judge. This one involved -- you guessed it -- #2. Her courtroom door and the insides of her courtroom were hit.

From the report, it seems the authorities have acted in a very calm and logical matter [2], in spite of the fact this has happened to one of their own and isn't an isolated incident. From past BM Newswires, we've seen everything from surveillance equipment [3] to DNA tests [4] being employed to catch turd terrorists. Here it looks like they are just going to treat it as a case of criminal mischief, and hope the guilty party screws up.

What I do find interesting is that this report seems to indicate this Judge had a thing or two coming her way. The judge has been accused of improperly imprisoning a lawyer, and was named by D Magazine as one of the state's worst judges. So could the culprit have been the lawyer she sent to jail in the course of a divorce proceeding? Or might KTEN-TV have an axe to grind against her? Or, maybe the colostomy bag is D Magazine's award for making their "Worst of Texas" list.
