pill or liquid laxatives?

Shyman asks:

Which work better -- pill laxatives or liquid laxatives?

Dear Shyman,

If I had my druthers to pick just one product to clean you out like nobody's business, hands down it would be Mag Citrate. Sold in a little green bottle, it is vaguely reminiscent of 7-Up gone wrong. You can get it over the counter.

I'm just not a fan of pills. I'm not REALLY a fan of any laxative. Metamucil taken 3-4 times a day works much better at preventing the problem in the first place, but no one ever listens to me.

Good luck!

Please be advised that I am only a Poonurse. I am NOT a medical doctor. Any advice I give should be taken moderate skepticism. Please consult a REAL medical doctor if you feel you have a serious medical condition.
